Needs evaluation: Although every child has a slightly different eruption pattern, it's best to have your child evaluated with radiographs so that the position of his secondary teeth can be determined.

Cause?: Are the baby teeth not falling out because the permanent teeth are not ready to erupt, or because underlying permanent tooth in wrong position, or congenitally missing underlying permanent tooth, or baby tooth ankylosed (fused) to the bone, or other reasons. Have your dentist check, or see a growth & development expert, a qualified orthodontic specialist.
