A member asked:

Liftinf weights makes you grow because you are strengthening your bones and muscles, but until what age do u actually stop growing if you lift weights?

Dr. John Moor answered

Muscle can always gr: Lifting weights stimulates your body to adapt to stress by making muscle and bone thicker and stronger, but does not make bones grow longer. Bone growth to make you taller stops about when you need to start shaving. Muscles can always grow as long as you do resistive exercises and eat adequate protein. Height increase has no relation to lifting weights.
