Good question: It is probably mostly fat. As we age many people are less active and gain weight. Also it is normal to lose muscle mass as we age. Bone does not lose mass. Exercise and good eating habits are the best way to maintain proper weight and muscle mass & strength as we age. Walking, lifting weights, swimming etc. are very good options.
