Its okay: Its does not seem like a bad adjunct to a regular routine. If they have one at your gym, i would use it. However, they look expensive and would not recommend buying one. There are plenty of other ways to strength train that will work better and cost less.

Or walk stairs!: Sounds like a very high tech variation of physical fitness training. We highly recommend strength/resistance training to maintain bone and muscle strength, but there are many ways to do this, that are likely as effective and much cheaper. Stair climbing, squats, lunges etc can easily be done at home. Perhaps hire a good trainer to design a program for you for $1-200.
