I have gad, they gave me a shot of midazolam in the er. it worked better than any of the benzos i've been on. why wont my physician offer that?

Too risky: This drug can only be safely used in a controlled environment like a hospital or operating room.

Not for long term: This won't work in the long term. You need good therapy, and a long term medication that does not involve benzodiazepines-- such as ssris.
