I have a multiple diagnosis of gad & epilepsy. benzos worked well to control both but it has become difficult to get a prescription. help!

Why difficult?: Have you had a problem with increasing the dose and taking more than is recommended? Or some other evidence of abuse? Ssri and snri drugs work for anxiety as well, and don't have the strong abuse potential of benzodiazepines. These include celexa, lexapro, Effexor (venlafaxine) and others. You need to have a heart-to-heart with your neurologist about what medications are best for both conditions.
