A member asked:

What would be a typical treatment plan for taking nexium (esomeprazole) 40 mg for acid reflux? how many days ? after how many days does it do its effect?

Nexium (esomeprazole): Medium has a number of well-known side effects such as constipation and nausea and is not recommended for long term use. If effective, your symptoms should subside in 4-8 weeks: http://www.Purplepill.Com/acid-reflux-disease/acid-reflux-symptoms-causes.Aspx. Remember that diet adjustment and lifestyle changes are just as important as taking your Nexium (esomeprazole) in battling reflux disease.

You should get : A fairly fast response to discomfort but if changes have been seen by a doctor long term acid reduction will be necessary. An acid neutralizer like mylanta will work faster but not as long, take this too if u need faster relief. Good luck.
