Bile gastritis: The gallbladder stores bile and releases it during meals, after it is removed, the bile constantly drains into the intestine and if refluxes into the stomach, can cause bile gastritis. While acid suppression is helpful, you may still have symptoms. A trial of carafate (sucralfate) may be helpful as well as changing your diet to low acid foods and frequent meals. Surgery may be indicated if severe symptoms.
