Depends: It depends on how much calcium is in the vitamin. Women need 1000-1500 mg calcium daily, from foods (dairy products, vegetables) and/or supplements. Altho calcium carbonate is cheap, it isn't absorbed as well as calcium citrate. Vitamin D3 enhances absorption of calcium.
