Hard cheese...: Domestic or french is relatively low in lactose. Fat conten, as in most cheeses, slows stomach emptying, makes less lactose per time for gut to digest. Most people with lactose intol can handle smallamounts, in mixed meals, e.g. Sandwich, better than liquid milk. Yogurt better as well-bacteria digest some lactose.
