Have them fix it: Very simple. Go back to the person who did the procedure and tell them your issue. If it is related to the procedure they should fix it at no charge. Don't stress about it any longer... And no you shouldn't live with it...

Vulvar Biopsy: I agree w/ dr. Shapiro on this - contact the surgeon and tell him about your concerns. If you get no satisfactory solution, make an appointment with a plastic surgeon. His job is to repair imperfect results like you experienced.

Depends on timing: If this is in the first 6 weeks of healing, a raised red scar may be normal and time may be all that is recommended, . If more than 4-6 months and still raised and red, you need to determine if the pathology was benign or indicative of infection. Steroid injections or scar revision may be indicated. In the meantime, scar massage may help if permitted by surgeon.
