Keloid: It sounds like you may have developed a keloid. This is a particular type of healing that creates a bump or ridge over the scar. A plastic surgeon can use some medications to prevent that from reoccurring when they remove it.

Keloids: Some skin types have a tendency to develop keloids while healing at incision sites. More common in dark skin. See a dermatologist first. It's not easy to treat. Plastic surgery may be needed.
