See an ENT: It could be anything ranging from trauma or an infection to cancer. You should see a physician, preferably an otolaryngologist (ear, nose, throat) specialist as soon as possible.

Infection: What you describe sounds like an infection in the throat, possibly strep or a virus. Go to your doctor to get your throat and neck looked at to see if they can tell you what it is and whether you should get treatment or not.
