Discontinue: Lansoprazole can cause your mouth to become dry. When that occurs then the balance of bacteria and other organisms in your mouth can become unbalanced. For example, a bloom of yeast could occur which could explain the yellow coating on the tongue and the bad taste. Consult your doctor before discontinuing the lansoprazole. Antifungal medicine could be prescribed.
