Gynecologist: Endometriosis can be managed medically or surgically, depending on where the cyst or cysts are, how many, and what else the patient has. For your particular situation only your gyn has adequate information about your total picture to judge how best to treat you. If you are not happy with his/her recommendation, ask for a second opinion. A single large cyst might best be treated surgically.
