150 g Sugar: It takes a dose of about 150 g of sugar (sucrose, half fructose, half glucose) to induce triglyceride formation. If the rest of your meal has 90 g of carbohydrate from high glycemic index foods like pasta, rice or white bread, you are at risk of raising your triglycerides, and gaining body fat.
