Sensible: Few people willingly count calories, but a visit with a dietician will help. Lean protein (lean meat, whey, whatever is acceptable), as little grease, sugar, and salt as you can, limit carbohydrates as you are able, and especially get used to being a little bit hungry most of the time (it's a good feeling) and distinguishing appetite ("that looks good!") from real hunger. Congrats on your new life.
