Saline solution: Apply 4 drops into the nostril with chin looking up the ceiling, let it stay one minute before suctioning the nose. Steaming up the bathroom will help loosen up mucus too. Mucus dripping in the back of the throat cause baby to have a cough reflex. See your doctor if condition worsens.

Cold & cough: Being this young, bring your child to the pediatrician to make sure what infection he has in addition to a virus. If he also has a wheeze, precautions can be taken to make sure he is getting enough oxygen. In the meantime, make sure he is drinking well. A stuffy nose can be relieved by saline drops. If he is having breathing problems, bring him to the ed.
