A member asked:

I have nodules on my vocal chords but just recently i had my esophagus expanded 18 mm will this take care of my nodules?

Prob. unrelated: The vocal cords polyps and esophagels issues are probably unrelated and the expansion will not affect the vocal cord polyps.

Probably not: Having your esophagus dilated (presumably for a stricture) will not directly affect your vocal cords. If, however, you have lesions on your vocal chords because of reflux related to your esophagus problem, it is reasonable to expect that with proper voice rest and/or rehab you may see an improvement. If the nodules are from something else, you'll need to see an ENT specialist to discuss options.
