Go to ER: One dilating pupil suggests something is going one with one side of the brain or optic nerve - i'd recommend having someone drive you to the er immediately for assessment.

Not at all: The dilated pupil may be due to compression of cranial nerve iii, by a structural problem at the base of the brain, and needs immediate attention.. Please get this evaluated asap.
