Why is it bad to give chocolate to babies?

Food allergy: The intestines of a newborn are still maturing for the first year after birth.Introduction of such items as egg white and chocolate before the first birthday has been shown to trigger development of a food allergy to such items which develops over time & can have a negative effect on the kids quality of life.
