No one knows: We know that disabilities affect not only the baby, but their family and everyone with whom they come in contact. Many families consider a disability as a ''blessing in disguise'' showing them how strong their faith is. If you are struggling with this question, you may want to seek support from a minister of your faith.

The pain: When my child developed a serious disability, i prayed and prayed & i kept asking god why. I felt his support but received no concrete answers. But then the lord helped me to see that the question I should be asking was not why, it was how. How can i help my child? How can i protect him? How do I advocate for him? When the question changed - i no longer felt powerless. God bless you.

Did he?: That is one o the facts that many people use to prove there is no God. God is all powerful , and good and ordered so should have the power to have 100% healthy babies. Evolution on the other hand is random and sometimes things go wrong. Maybe it just proves the sad truth that evolution is not perfect

Many reasons: Here is a good article addressing some of the reasons. But we are all made in the image of God. What some see as a disability, others might not. But the disability may be used to bring glory to God. https://www.gotquestions.org/God-allow-sickness.html
