Some basics: RSV is a worrisome infection to small infants whose tiny airways plug easily with mucus.A 3 yo is at little risk when they do get it because their lungs have bigger airways. At that age they essentially get a cold. Meds are seldom helpful. Treatment is supportive & focuses on comfort. If the kid feeds poorly/won't play have him seen. They do get secondary infections in the ears/lungs occasionally
