A member asked:

How can cats affect small babies ? what is their bad effect on babies especially female babies?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cats and Babies: Cats should not affect babies any more than any other animal, regardless of gender. Infants should be monitored closely around any animal. The disruption of routine due to a new baby in the home can cause behavioral changes (usually temporary, some good and some not so good) in any of our family pets.
