Discuss with GI Dr.: It depends on the size and pathology of the sessile polyp. If this polyp was already a cancer, this may need to addressed based on how much thickness of the bowel wall it invaded. Your GI surgeon is the best resource for this. Please note this may cause you problems down the line if you ignore his advice.
