ET: You will need to see a hematologist to manage your et. With platelet over a million- you can have either clots or bleeding. Need to take medication to lower down your platelet and thus will lower down your risk to have complication. Once you platelet in the safe level- then you can have hysterectomy. For a very large fibroid- it is better to have hysterectomy . However will defer that gynecologist.

UFE: Uterine fibroid embolization (ufe) is an excellent non-surgical option for treatment of symptomatic fibroids. It is often performed as outpatient and allows women to keep their uterus. This would be much safer than surgery but should be coordinated with an experienced interventional radiologist (ir) and hematologist. There is a transient hypercoagubility with ufe and this needs to be accounted for.
