How high?: There are different causes of high platelet level. Generally is divided by 2- primary bone marrow problem vs secondary causes/ reactive process ( such as: bleeding, iron deficiency, infection/inflammation, malignancy. What the reason you had hysterectomy 7 years ago? Fibroids? Sometimes, bone marrow biopsy needed if platelet level is significant to rule out primary bone marrow prblm, f/u with md.
