A member asked:

Hi, i've had thick mucus and a deep cough for about a month now, tried everything, what could it be and is it safe to exercise?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See your doc : Many causes of a persistent cough- viral bronchitis, pneumonia, reactive airways/asthma, post nasal drip, sinusitis, acid reflux, etc. If the cough originates from the neck/throat and you have no fever or fatigue, then you may exercise. If this is a chest cough and/or associated with fever, chills, shortness of breath or fatigue, then you need to rest and to determine the cause and treatment.
