Dialysis levels: The fall in creatinine (c) from 17 pre-dialysis to 12.7 is normal. It will probably be lower after the second dialysis. A better measure of dialysis efficiency is the urea reduction rate. That is the percentage of fall pre and post dialysis of the bun. If the patient's kidney function were to improve, there would be an increase in urine production with a fall in the serum levels of c and bun.
