New doctor has prescripted alpha lipoic acid 600mg and neurontin (gabapentin) 1800 mg daily for periperal neuropathy . is it a usual treatment combination?

Neuropathy: Combination is now a common practice for diabetic neuropathy. Regarding dose, everybody will have different needs and tolerability. Watch for blood sugar levels drop with Alpha lipoid acid, specially if already taking oral medications for diabetes.
