Why is the fetal node not visible in gestational sac that is 5 - weeks old (pregnancy 6 weeks)?

Couple reasons: Normally at 6 weeks you should see a sac, a yolk sac, the fetal pole and an early heartbeat. When you dont see what you expect, there are 3 possibilities: the pregnancy is not quite as far as you think, the pregnancy is abnormal, or it is just hard to see on ultrasound. So i would just repeat in 1 week and know for sure!
