Yes: Raccoon are a common reservoir for rabies, and may not appear ill. If you have had contact with a raccoon, even without a bite, you must discuss with dr. Once symptoms of rabies start, it is too late to get the rabies shots. Don't delay, talk with a qualified dr today! if you have a scratch, bite, wash immediately, then call dr, er, or local public health.

Raccoons and rabies: In 2018 raccoons made up 30.3% of rabid wildlife reported in the USA (only beaten out by bats). You didn't tell us what kind of contact you had with a raccoon.
