Need an exam: The normal placement of the scar for brachioplasty is in the inner arm. This area is against the chest and is usually spared from a burn. If the burn scars are in the exposed part of the arm maybe they can be lessened with the brachioplasty. An examination with your plastic surgeon will be required to determine the best placement of your scars.

Need photos: Tough to say - depends on depth and area and size of scar. Healing may be an issue. Recommend someone with a lot of brachioplasty experience.

Brachioplasty: Brachioplasty refers to a surgical procedure for removing excess skin and fat from the arm typically seen after weight loss where the skin does not contract or shrink and remains loose. Prior scars from burns, injuries or other surgery could have an effect on healing. Consult a board certified plastic surgeon to determine if brachioplasty is appropriate.
