A member asked:

My mum has a rare incurable anaemia called refractory anaemia q5.what is the best alternative/natural approach for this problem?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lenalidomide: What you are describing sounds like a myelodysplasia called 5q-. This is a form of myelodysplasia that is refractory to transfusions. There is data on the use of Lenalidomide published in the new england journal of medicine. The lead author was dr. Alan list. The data showed that Lenalidomide or Revlimid (lenalidomide) may decrease the need for transfusions in patients who have the 5q-. Hope this helps.
