My mother has pernicious anemia many yrs and diagnosed late with b12 deficit & neurological problems i have below normal b12 levels have a b12 hydroxocobalamin injection every 8 weeks like her. some people self inject more frequently ,any benefits?

B12 deficiency: In the initial phase of treatment I arbitrarily gave B12 injections 5 times a week for 2weeks to load the patient and went to once a week for 2 more weeks and repeated the B12 level. If normal we went to monthly injections with a b12 level checked in 3 months to assess efficacy of monthly injections and thereafter 6 month check. Eventually yearly level checked. Lifetime monthly B12 injections.
