A member asked:

I take diamox (acetazolamide) for idiopathic intracranial hypertension. i get numbness around my mouth for an hour after taking it. is it an allergic reaction?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably not: The most common side effect of Diamox (acetazolamide) is numbness and tingling in mucosal tissues which includes around the mouth. Simply a side effect of the medication, not an allergy.
