Cant answer: The cost will vary based on what your needs are and will also vary by provider. If you can't complete your treatment with yourself original doctor, which would be best, consider seeing an orthodontist as soon as you settle in the us. Also try to bring a copy of your previous dental record. It's not absolutely necessary, but wouldn't hurt just in case.

Orthodontic consult: I'm in full agreement with dr. Ahmed. In my area, full orthodontic treatment averages about $5500 +\-. 25% left to do would equal $1375. Unfortunately, when another orthodontist picks up the balance of treatment, he\she would have to take recent x-rays, records, etc not to mention the responsibility for completion of treatment, & may not be satisfied with progress to date. Will need to be seen 1st.

Cost depends % done: We often take over cases from other dentists and the cost is based on % of case completed, time in treatment needed and not any one fee. Most dentists will be fair with you if you are transfering out and transferring in.

Service: Orthodontics is a service, not a commodity. No 2 people have exactly the same problem, nor will they be in exactly the same place after the same number of months in treatment. Please seek consultation with qualified Orthodontic Specialist to determine your current status, the anticipated time to reach conclusion, and the cost to successfully complete your treatment.
