Personal preference: Ceramic braces are the exactly same size and shape as metal braces, except that they have tooth-colored or clear brackets that blend in to teeth. The same treatment, the same goal, the same great outcome.

Same results: Both types of braces are very effectively used to correct crooked teeth. Depending on the specifics of each bracket, some are more efficient than others. Generally metal brackets work a little faster and have less bulk.

Yes: It's not so much the handle that is placed on the tooth (either metal or ceramic) as it is the training, skill, and experience of the practitioner. For best results seek the most qualified Orthodontic Specialist in your area. Orthodontists have 2-3 years full time specialty training beyond Dental School, and do nothing but Orthodontic specialty care.
