Movement has no : Effect on how big the cyst will be. Often times the cyst can rupture on their own. Outside of that you can have it aspirated with a needle. The old remedy to treat these was to hit it with a book. They were called "bible beater" lesions because the biggest book in the house was the bible.

Any constant motion: Has the potential to increase a ganglions size. The ganglion or cyst is connected to the joint or tendon sheath via either a thin or thick stalk so that fluid form the wrist or tendon lieterally gets pumped into the ganglion with the pressure of movement. Usually it is like a one way valce as pressure on the ganglion does not draon the other way. It makes no difference which way you move overall.
