daughter has one enlarged tonsil x one yr with only two pharyngitis diagnoses. went to ent and they want to take it out right away. do i need a se?

Depends: If one tonsil appears unusually large it may have had a prior abscess & might deserve to come out. If you are concerned about jumping into surgery right away get another opinion, preferably from someone not directly affiliated with the first doc.
