Hello. : Hello. If your tonsils are so swollen that it is difficult to breath - you need to be evaluated. Amongst other things, you need to be tested for streph throat. Sometimes steroids are prescribed to reduce swelling if the tonsils are occluding your airway. Please be medically evaluated.
