Doctor must follow: Unlike 23-hour bracing, night-time bracing can help increase compliance. Studies have shown no statistically significant difference in full-time vs. Nighttime bracing. Key is a scoliosis surgeon must closely follow patient with serial images until bone growth is completed. She likely has 18 months or more of bone growth remaining, which is the period of greatest risk for scoliosis progression.
