Hopefully never: Glaucoma is a condition in which the internal eye pressure is higher than the resistance of the optic nerves to withstand the pressure. The time to lose 30 percent varies with these two relationships. Hopefully the condition will be recognized, and treatment instituted so that no vision or nerves will be lost. Do not assume that you have some time for no treatment in this condition.

Depends: Damage takes place at different rates for each patient. How high the pressure is, how susceptible the nerve is all play into the equation. At 1-2 mm pressure rise, many years. At a 20mm rise possibly very quickley.
