Tooth infection: A tooth infection should not cause you to lose muscle. I would get a dental check up for control of the infection and see your primary doctor for a physical to see why your are losing muscle.

Generally not: A routine tooth infection will not cause you to lose muscle. However, if it is not treated, it can develop into a very severe, widespread infection called an abscess. This can affect muscles.
