In Extreme Cases: An extreme dental infection can, theoretically, spread through the facial spaces and into the ear. Once there, it can cause significant damage. However, this is extremely rare. Furthermore, long before the infection reached your inner ear, you would be very sick, with significant facial swelling and pain, and you would be in a hospital. So, it's highly unlikely.
