Probably not: Inflammatory/infective dental problems, such as gum disease, and the traumatic problem of a broken tooth, do not cause loss of muscle mass. That can be due to poor diet, improper supplements, systemic diseases/conditions. You need a full physical work-up by an internist. You need to assure optimum oral health. Perhaps a Periodontist can help. Evaluation by a nutritionist also advisable.
