Occupational hazard?: Here are a few tips to consider: 1) get up every hour and walk around, 2) have your work station evaluated ergonomically, 3) consider a standing desk, 4) try a balance ball to use instead of a chair, 5) try one of the many desk chairs that claim to ease pressure on your back, 6) strengthen your core muscles 7) lose excess weight if you have any, and 8) be sure you are getting aerobic exercise!

This is most likely: A disc related problem as the discs of the lower back are subjected to a 4x body weight load in sitting position. Therefore, try to avoid sitting in a low seat or one without a back support or arm rests. Also, you need to exercise regularly with an emphasis on core strengthening while staying trim and not smoking.
