Comfort: No cure if it is viral. But 10gms honey for the cough, humidity, saline nose drops for nasal congestion and hydration help relieve the symptoms.Medications other than tylenol (acetaminophen) are not considered worth the safety ri\sk for the small benefit to comfort.

Flu: The management is symptomatic care.Plenty of liquids, rest and fever management if needed.Always contact your doctor for advice make sure your diagnosis is correct and that you do not have any underlying factors that could worsen.
