Unclear: Pleuradesis is often done for malignant effusions. This is predominately a palliative treatment. The lack of appetite, weakness, and/or weight loss would not be treated or result from pleuradesis. If this was a palliative treatment for cancer, the symptoms described are unfortunately attributable to cancer. I encourage you/he/family to speak with his medical team.
