The idiopathic type : Of creutzfeldt jakob is from corneal/ organ transplant, so icjd is not inheritable. The sporadic type is from eating the meat of infected animals, e.g., " mad cow disease" or spongiform encephalitis, with a genetic susceptibility in many cases.-15% of cases are inherited.See:http://www.Cjdfoundation.Org/ for complete information about amyloid or prion mutations on the short arm of chromosome 20.
